Our FID research group has over 35 years of combined industry analyst experience that is backed up by strong analyst technical knowledge, a rigorous data collection process and a portfolio that includes dedicated reports on every major smart card vertical application area. Six Research Analysts and two Research Associates combine to produce IMS’ FID portfolio, each member of the team located in-house at IMS’ offices in the US, UK and China.
Our FID team is fortunate in that we can collaborate closely with many of the other research groups at IMS Research. The existence of our Cellular, Digital TV and Set-top Boxes, Security & Fire, Automotive & Transport, Metering & Smart Grid and Portable Consumer Electronics research groups means that when our research touches upon these subjects we have subject-area experts on hand in-house. Further, having a contributor to the team based in our China office allows us to liaise closely with the Chinese card, end-equipment and IC suppliers. The collection of shipment data from these companies provides us with a key differentiator in researching this market
