Broadband & Networking

IMS Research has been producing high-quality research on broadband and networking markets since the mid-1990s. The technologies and topics covered by our broadband research group include ADSL/2/2+, VDSL2, DOCSIS, Fiber to the Premises (and other fiber topologies), broadband wireless access, WiMAX, broadband cellular, broadband PMR, IPTV, and home networking.

Core to our broadband offering is our “Broadband Access Online Database”. This tool includes coverage of the subscriber base and end-equipment markets in 50 individual countries, each one split by broadband technology.

These are then aggregated into major regions. This allows us to highlight technology trends in different regions, and to quickly identify emerging trends in the market.

The group prides itself on its in-house data collection processes that involve collecting subscriber data every quarter from over 150 ISPs, 50 national telecoms regulators and all of the main CPE suppliers. This wealth of data enables us to produce some of the industry’s most accurate and detailed broadband market data.
